.........Roy Nussbaum is the Conga's new heart beat. Roy and his staff mix American & Latin Cuisine with passion and charisma. "America has been the melting pot forever, and so has its cuisine. Combining two wonderful cuisines gives us alot of freedom to have fun with food and be very creative." Roy says. Roy is originally from Queens, NY, grew up in northern Jersey, lived in North Carolina for some time and now is glad to be in New Rochelle.
.........Family business was his first influence, then at the age of 13, he went to wash dishes & pots, and work his way through the ranks all thru high school for Chef Heinz Aichem of the Black Forest Inn, Stanhope, NJ; that brings on graduation at CIA in Hyde Park, NY in 1989. After college Roy worked at several restaurants, country clubs and hotels, most recently 8 years with "The Brew Chef," Tim Schafer at Tim Schaefer's Cuisine in Morristown, NJ.
